Department of Jurisprudence
Marianna Rinaldo is Associate Professor of Private Law (GIUR-01/A - GSD 12/GIUR-01), at the Department of Jurisprudence of the University of Cagliari.
He is the holder of the teaching of Inheritance Law in codocence in the Master’s Degree in Jurisprudence, of Private Law of public administration in the Undergraduate Courses in Jurisprudence and Sciences of the Legal Services. Until 2025/2026 she taught private law at the Degree in Business Economics and Management, Course in Economics and Management of Tourism Services, Branch office of Oristano, University of Cagliari.
Author of two monographs "Biotestamento. Il valore della vita «dignitosa» e della libertà personale", in Quaderni di Diritto delle successioni e della famiglia, ESI, Napoli, 2020, pp. 7-173 (ISBN 978-88-495-4033-8), and “La teorica dell'invalidità dell'atto iniquo. Regole di validità e di responsabilità nel diritto privato”, in Pubblicazioni del Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza. Università degli Studi di Cagliari, ESI, Napoli, 2019, pp. XI-222 (ISBN 978-88-495-3887-8) and several publications including encyclopedic entries, essays and court notes in scientific journals.
He is the scientific director of the biennial project Fondazione di Sardegna entitled "Social changes and rules of inheritance", University of Cagliari and n. 2 research grants, entitled "Social and legal evolution of the family and its effects on inheritance law from a reformist perspective - Social and legal evolution of the family and its effects on inheritance law from a reformist perspective", on the same project.
It is a member of the "Start Up" project team of the University of Cagliari, funded by D.M. 737/2021 - Line of intervention "Interdisciplinary research initiatives on cross-cutting issues for the NRP", entitled "Legal instruments to combat gender discrimination".
He is a corresponding member of the Associazione Civili Italiani.
He is a member of the Faculty of the Doctorate in Legal Sciences of the University of Cagliari and of several scientific committees, including Succession and Family Law, Foro Napoletano, Family and Personal Law, Le Corti Calabresi, Rivista giuridica Teoria e prassi del diritto - Legal journal Theory and practice of law, Publications of the Department of Jurisprudence of the University of Cagliari; Studi economico-giuridici;
It is registered in the Bar of Lawyers of Cagliari (special list of university professors).
Education, university career and previous posts
In 2009 he obtained the degree in Law with vote 110/110 with Praise, at the University of Cagliari, presenting a thesis in Private Law of Public Administration entitled "Non-pecuniary damage from contractual default". She was subsequently Cultrice of Private Law Institutions, Private Law of the Public Administration and Real Rights.
In 2011 he obtained the Diploma of Specialization at the School of Specialization for the Legal Professions, Judicial-Forensic address, University of Cagliari, with 70/70 evaluation.
In 2012 he obtained the legal profession.
In 2016 he obtained the PhD in Contract Law by discussing the thesis entitled "Rules of validity and Rules of liability in private law", with an excellent vote, at the University of Cagliari.
On 10 November 2020 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the role of University Professor of Second Tier in the competition sector GIUR-01/A - Private Law; GSD 12/GIUR-01 - Private Law.
From 1 March 2021 to 30 September 2021 she was a Researcher on a temporary basis a) of Private Law and from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2024 a Researcher on a temporary basis b) of Private Law at the Department of Jurisprudence, University of Cagliari.
From January 2019 to February 2021 she was a research fellow in Private Law (Title of the research project: "Critical profiles on the anticipated treatment provisions following the enactment of the Law 22 December 2017, n. 219") and in 2016 she was a Research Fellow in Law, Societies and Territorial Realities.
