• Synthesis and characterization of optically active materials rich in sulfur and selenium and their complexes with transition metals.
• Synthesis and characterization of N-, P-, S- and Se-donating organic substrates having antimicrobial, antiproliferative and/or antitumor actions and their complexes of gold(I), gold(III) and platinum(II).
• Study of substrates for restoration and consolidation of carbonate-type stone materials, with special emphasis on marble.
• Recovery of precious metals from matrices from Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
