Measurement and evaluation

Since 2007, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit has been responsible for monitoring the University Library System through periodic surveys and provides data and findings to the University’s governing bodies (the University Library System Management, the University Libraries Commission, the Rector, the Evaluation Unit, and the University Quality Centre) and to the Inter-University Group for the Monitoring of University Library Systems (G.I.M.).
It develops tools and methodologies with the immediate aim of responding to requests for data and information and with the ultimate objective of promoting a culture of measurement and evaluation among the staff of the Library System.
The Sector’s routine activities include the design of an annual survey, the distribution of the questionnaire, training and assistance for respondents, data collection and processing, and the drafting of the final report, as well as a variable number of analyses in response to specific requests.
