SensusAccess is the solution adopted by the University of Cagliari as part of its content accessibility projects for converting documents, images and web pages into a range of alternative formats (e-books, audio, Braille).

SensusAccess can facilitate access to documents such as image-only PDFs or scanned images/text, making them available in accessible formats via an automated, self-service system involving just a few simple steps (1. Upload the original file; 2. Select the final format; 3. Submit the request; 4. Receive the converted, accessible file via email).

Whilst the files submitted will be automatically deleted from the server once the conversion process is complete, the processed file will remain available for 7 days. It will then be deleted from the server.

The service is reserved exclusively for educational, teaching, personal and non-commercial use by the entire academic community of the University of Cagliari (students, lecturers, researchers, technical and administrative staff, etc.), who may register by entering their institutional email address (@unica.it; @amm.unica.it; @studenti.unica.it; etc.) as the processing address.
