Biomedical-Scientific District Library

The Biomedical and Scientific District Library is the main resource for research and education at the Faculties of Biology and Pharmacy, Medicine and Surgery, and Science.

What it offers

     180,000 books and journals covering medical, mathematical, physical, biological, chemical, pharmaceutical and geological sciences. Databases, electronic journals and e-books;

     214 study stations in the reading rooms (114 of which have power sockets);
     Tablets and PCs available for loan;
     Wireless coverage in the reading rooms;
     Workstations for accessing catalogues and electronic resources

Cross-curricular course 'Scientific Research: Sources, Tools and Evaluation' for doctoral students

The Directorate for Quality, Library Services and Museum Activities is organising the cross-curricular course 'Scientific Research: Sources, Tools and Evaluation' for doctoral students. The course aims to introduce the topics of scientific communication, copyright, Open Access, and research evaluation. The main tools and resources for carrying out effective bibliographic searches will be presented
